Technology

We are not really responsible for any major technological contributions to the world, although, it is wworth noting that we have been able to stay technologically modern throughout our struggle against the Sri Lankan government, even though we have been unjustly labled a terrorist group. We recently obtained a modern air force that we used to launch an air strike on Katunayake Air Force Base in March. Look out Sri Lanka the LTTE is on the rise.

Culture

Our Tamil culture mainly is centered around language. The Tamil language is the unifying factor for all Tamil people world wide. However, more recently we have begun to develop deep ties to our cultural background. To help further unify our culture, we would like to create a seperate Tamil state in Sri Lanka, known as Tamil Eelam, under the great leadership of Velupillai Prabhakaran. On a seperate note our people are also regarded as great architects and sculptors, recognized for creating magnificent Hindu temples of breathtaking beauty, and flowing images of stone that seem to be alive.

Religion

We, the Liberation Tigers of Tail Eelam are not a group based on religious boundaries. In fact, we even had some high ranking Chirstian officials. The diversity of religions practiced by our members include Hinduism, Christianity, Islam and other minor religions such as Jainism. However, religion is not a priority, as our leader, Prabhakaran, who is Hindu, hardly practices the faith at all.

Blog

Blog Entry One:
1986 - Today is a glorious day for the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, under my (Velupillai Prabhakaran) leadership we have become the dominant group waging the war for our free state of Tamil Eelam. After founding the LTTE in 1975, we had joined a leauge known as the Eelam Notional Liberation Front, but we betrayed the other members, wiping them out until we were all that remained. Today we succeded in destroying our last credible threat, the Tamil Eelam Liberation Organization (TELO). Now we can begin focusing on the war at hand with the Sri Lankan government.

Blog Entry Two:
1987 - India has intervened on our behalf by aiding the city of Jaffna and helping to break the seige laid upon it by the government's army. Though we are grateful for the suplies and food they have given us, India's presence will only hinder our war for freedom. There is now talk in the works for an Indian mediated peace agreement and a peace support force known as the IPKF (Indian Peace Keeping Force). We will not stand for this presence in our lands. This occupation will not last long.

Blog Entry Three:
February 22, 2002 - Today we have come to an agreement with the government of Sri Lanka and have established the Memorandum of Understanding. We hope that this will be a lasting peace between the two sides of this civil war. This is still not what we want in the end, but it is good enough ... for now.

Blog Entry Four:
August 12, 2005 - This peace is nearly over. Today Foreign Minister Lakshman Kadirgamar was assassinated by one of our courageous snipers. Even though he was a Tamil, he was becoming a nuisance and was overly critical of our methods. This will have sever reprecussions for our cause, many will see it as going too far, but it was necessary. We will probably lose much of our world wide credibility, but we will survive. Long Live the LTTE. Long Live Tamil Eelam.

The Wall

You radical, terrorist extremists. You began this war with your bombing of our military base, and you continue it with your senseless demand for your own state. We have the power, why would we give it up. We will not give you an entirely seperate state, but perhaps several key concessions will be able to end this blood bath because I am sure you are as tired of it as we are. Would you find limited self autonomy and a recognition of the Tamil nationality aceptable. Please post back. The Government of Sri Lanka
